What should I do if I'm having difficulty starting or stopping the NotePin recording?

Since firmware version V179, NotePin has optimized the recording button logic to reduce accidental touches. Please follow the instructions below for proper use:
 

1. Before Recording: Check Battery Status

Pick up or shake the device:

    • White light on: Battery is sufficient.

    • Purple light flashing: Battery is low – charge soon.

    • No light: Battery is drained – charge immediately. If the purple indicator light doesn't turn on while charging, please refer to this article: What Should I do if the NotePin stops charging?

 

2. Starting a Recording

Correct Operation:
Long-press the center of the device with a little force→ Gentle vibration → 1 strong vibration + red light turns on→ Recording has started.

Note:
If you only feel vibration but no red light, the recording has not started successfully.

 

3. Ending a Recording

Correct Operation:
Long-press the center of the device with a little force again → Gentle vibration → 2 strong vibrations + red light turns off → Recording has ended.

Note:
If the red light stays on, recording is still ongoing. Make sure to feel 2 strong vibrations.

 

If you have followed the instructions above, but the problem still persists, please check the steps below:

1. If the charging is functioning normally, please update the firmware of the NotePin to the latest version. You can refer to How to perform a firmware update for my PLAUD device?
2. Long-press the record button for 12 seconds while charging.
