MP3
|
A popular compressed audio format with a smaller file size while maintaining good sound quality. Users can export the audio as an MP3 file from the PLAUD App.

WAV
|
An uncompressed audio format, offering the highest quality and preserving the original recording.
WAV files are only accessible when the PLAUD NOTE is plugged into the computer after recording offline (without connecting the PLAUD App). Due to the large size, WAV files are not supported for transferring back to the PLAUD app.

Choose the right audio format:

If you mainly access recordings within the PLAUD App, the ASR format is a good choice because it is fast to upload.

If you need to share the audio with others or play it on standard media players, exporting an MP3 format from the App is recommended.

If you prioritize the best audio quality and need access to the raw recording on your PC, consider enabling the "RAW File" button on the PLAUD App. This will create both ASR and WAV files on your PLAUD NOTE when connected to your computer. Keep in mind that WAV files are large and not suitable for transferring back to the app.
