PLAUD prioritizes user privacy. Data is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly enable our cloud backup feature, PPC (PLAUD Private Cloud).
- Local Storage (Default): Without PPC enabled, data resides solely on your phone. Uninstalling the app, device damage, or a crash will result in irreversible data loss. While we aim to provide warnings about data loss during uninstallation, the specific message displayed depends on your device's operating system.
- Cloud Backup (PPC): Enabling PPC syncs your data to PLAUD WEB, providing secure cloud storage. This protects your data against device issues and allows for easy recovery after uninstallation or when switching devices.
To prevent data loss, we strongly recommend enabling PPC.
