- Targeted extraction: Isolate specific intelligence like action items, key quantitative data, or intent analysis.
- Professional alignment: Tailor these outputs to match your daily workflow.
- Specialized tasks: Build custom structures for specialized industry frameworks, including medical SOAP notes or sales BANT tracking.
How to create a custom template?
- Go to Template Community and tap Create
- Select "Description to template".
- Enter the template name and write a prompt. Then, tap "Save as my template" and you can use this template directly.
Note: You may also select "Photo to template" to take a photo or upload a photo of your document, and AI will generate a template for you.
Notes on custom templates

FAQ about custom templates
How do custom structures differ from the Template Community?
The Template Community provides pre-built frameworks curated by Plaud and professional users. Custom frameworks are precise structures you design manually via text prompt or document upload.
Can I share my custom template with others?
Yes. Publish your saved structures to the Template Community to share them with other users. Remove any sensitive personal data before publishing to the Template Community.
How do I write an effective prompt?
Writing detailed, structured instructions consistently produces more precise results. Define your required sections — such as Decisions, Action items, or Open questions — and specify exactly what the AI should extract for each.
