Cancel your subscriptions and refunds
You can cancel your Plaud subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
What is subscription cancellation?
Your Plaud subscription renews automatically each billing cycle. When you cancel, it stops auto-renewing and your plan stays active through the end of the period you've paid for. Cancellation steps vary based on where you originally subscribed.
How to cancel your subscription?
If you subscribed through the iOS App Store:
- Open the App Store on your iOS device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the home page.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Plaud, then tap Cancel Subscription.
If you subscribed through Stripe (iOS in-app or Plaud Web):
- Go to the Stripe billing portal.
- Enter the email address you used when subscribing and complete email verification.
- Under My Subscriptions or Billing, find your Plaud subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If you subscribed through the Google Play Store:
- Open Google Play and tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Payments and subscriptions, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select Plaud, then tap Cancel Subscription.
Refund policy by platform
Refund eligibility depends on the platform where you purchased.
- Apple App Store: Plaud doesn't have access to Apple's billing backend. Contact Apple Support directly to request a refund.
- Google Play Store: Submit a request to the Plaud support team with your order details.
- Stripe (iOS or Plaud Web): Submit a request to the Plaud support team with your order details.
- Activation codes purchased on plaud.ai: Activation codes are non-refundable once redeemed. If you haven't redeemed your code, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase by contacting support@plaud.ai.
FAQ about subscription cancellation
Will I lose access right away after cancelling?
No. Your access continues through the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You won't be charged again after that date.
How do I know which platform I used to subscribe?
Check your email inbox for a purchase receipt. Receipts from Apple come from Apple, Google Play receipts from Google, and Stripe receipts come from Stripe or support@plaud.ai.
Can I get a refund on an activation code?
Activation codes are non-refundable once redeemed. If you haven't redeemed your code yet, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase by contacting support@plaud.ai.
What happens to my recordings if I don't renew?
Your recordings stay in your account. You'll move to the free Starter plan, and AI features will be limited to the Starter plan's monthly allowance.
