Ask Across All Files lets you ask questions across your entire recording library. Ask Plaud draws from transcripts and summaries of your recordings to surface a grounded answer, even when the information spans multiple past meetings, interviews, or notes.
How to ask across all files?
- Tap the magnifying glass icon on the top-right of the files page.
- Tap "Ask Plaud Anything".
- Ask about your recordings.
Notes on Ask Across All Files
- Answers from your entire library. Ask Plaud draws from transcripts and summaries across all your recordings, so answers surface regardless of which file they're in.
- Transcribed files only. A recording needs to be transcribed before Ask Plaud can reference its content.
- Use Ask Based on a Single File for depth. When you already know which recording to explore, Ask Based on a Single File keeps the conversation grounded in that context.

Will the AI search files I haven't transcribed?
No. Ask Plaud only references recordings that have been transcribed. Transcribe a file first to include it.

Can I cite which file an answer came from?
Yes. Ask Plaud surfaces references to the source recordings alongside each answer. To explore the relevant passages directly, open that recording in Ask Based on a Single File.
