Plaud Note Pro uses a single Record button to start and stop audio recordings. Hold to begin, hold again to end.
What is recording on Plaud Note Pro?
Plaud Note Pro captures audio through a 5-mic array (4 MEMS microphones plus 1 VPU) and a contact sensor for phone-call recording. It uses Smart dual-mode to automatically detect whether you're recording a phone call or an in-person conversation, so you don't need to switch modes manually. Recordings are stored on the device and synced to the Plaud App when you transfer files.
Before you start
- Your Plaud Note Pro firmware and Plaud App are updated to the latest version.
- Your device has enough battery to cover the session you plan to record.
- If you plan to record phone calls, attach Plaud Note Pro to your phone before you dial.
How to start and stop a recording?
- Press and hold the Record button until the device vibrates once. Recording has started.
- Press and hold the Record button again until the device vibrates twice. Recording has stopped.
How to add a highlight?
During an active recording, short-press the Record button once. The device confirms the highlight with a single vibration.
FAQ about recording on Plaud Note Pro
What's the difference between Enhance mode and Endurance mode?
Enhance mode optimizes audio quality, picks up sound from 5 m (16.4 ft) away, and records for 30 hours on a full charge. Endurance mode extends recording time to 50 hours at a reduced audio quality setting, with a pickup range of 3 m (9.8 ft). A third mode, Adaptive, switches automatically between Enhance and Endurance based on battery level, dropping to Endurance when the battery falls below 20%. You can select the mode in the Plaud App before you start a session.
Does Plaud Note Pro detect phone calls automatically?
Yes. Smart dual-mode automatically switches between phone call recording and in-person recording without any input from you.
Can I add highlights after recording ends?
No. Highlights can only be marked during an active recording by short-pressing the Record button.
