Plaud Web lets you share your recordings, transcripts, and notes with others directly from your browser. When you click Share on any file, you can choose between two link types based on who needs access.
What is a share link?
A share link is a way to give someone access to a recording, transcript, summary, or mind map from your Plaud account without exporting files. You can choose a public link that anyone with the URL can open, or an invite-only link that requires a Plaud account and is restricted to specific email addresses. Share links are view-only, so recipients can read or listen to the content but cannot download or edit it.
Which link should I use?
Share link — Anyone with the link can view the content, no account required. Best for non-sensitive content.
Invite — Only the specific people you invite can access the content. Best for sensitive content.
To get started, click Share at the top of any file in Plaud Web, then select Share link.
How to share a recording link?
- Open the file you want to share and click Share at the top.
- On the Share link tab, select what the viewer(s) can see.
- (Optional) Set an expiration time using the dropdown under Link expires.
- Click Share link to generate the link.
- Copy and share the link — it works immediately, no account needed.
How to share with specific people (Invite)?
- Click Share at the top of the page and select Share link.
- Switch to the Invite tab.
- Select what the viewer(s) can see.
- Enter one or more email addresses, then click Invite.
The invitee will receive an email with a link. They need a Plaud account to access the content. Once they view it, their email changes to their username in your Invite list.

FAQ about share links
Is the share link a website?
No. "Share" just means creating a public link — it doesn't create a website or web page.
Can viewers download or save the content?
No. Both Share and Invite links are view-only. Recipients cannot download any content.
Can I see who viewed my invite link?
Yes. On the Invite tab, you'll see the list of invited people. When someone views the content, their email address changes to their username. For Share links, no tracking is available — they're anonymous.
Can viewers see who else has access?
No. Viewers cannot see the list of other people who have been invited or who have the shared link.
What happens if I remove and then reshare the same content?
The share link remains the same. After resharing, anyone with the link continues to have access, based on the updated content selection.
What happens if I delete or trash the file? Will viewers still see any part of it?
Both Share and Invite links become invalid immediately. No one can access any part of the file.
I invited someone but they didn't receive the email. What should I do?
On the Invite tab, either click Copy Link at the bottom and send it directly, or open the dropdown next to their email and click Resend invite. Ask them to check their spam folder if they still don't receive it.
