Notes on summary templates
- Setting default template: Tapping Try it sets the selected layout as your default template for future recordings until you change it.
- Language matching: Plaud always generates insights in your original audio language, regardless of the template's native language.
- Same behavior: Official and community formats work the same way to structure your notes during generation.
- Protect your privacy: Ensure your layout contains no sensitive or confidential information before sharing it with the community.
FAQ about summary templates
Why does my template summary appear in the recording's language?
Plaud generates notes in the original language of your audio. The template's language does not change this. To get a summary in a specific language, record in that language.
What is the difference between official and user-uploaded templates?
Both work the same way to structure your notes, but they come from different sources. Official templates are formats built by Plaud for meetings, interviews, and medical notes. User-uploaded templates are custom layouts shared by other professionals for niche industries and specialized scenarios.
Where is the Try it button?
Tap any layout in the Template Community to open its preview. From there, select Try it to set this format as the default for your future recordings.
