Sign in to Plaud Web with email or with your Google or Apple account. Manage which methods are linked to your account from the Plaud App.
What is SSO?
SSO (Single Sign-On) lets you sign in to Plaud using your Google or Apple account, without setting a separate Plaud password. You can use SSO instead of, or alongside, email sign-in.
What sign-in methods does Plaud support?
- Email and password. Sign up or sign in with an email address and Plaud password.
- Google (SSO). Sign up or sign in with your Google account. No separate Plaud password required.
- Apple (SSO). Sign up or sign in with your Apple ID. No separate Plaud password required.
How SSO works on Plaud
- One-click account creation. Choose Google or Apple at the sign-up or sign-in screen. Plaud creates or opens your account using the verified identity from that provider.
- Switch between methods. Existing email users can add Google or Apple as additional sign-in methods, then sign in with whichever they prefer.
- Link methods to one account. Link your existing email account with Google or Apple so all methods point to the same Plaud profile.
How to manage sign-in methods?
- Click your account name to access Settings.
- Go to Settings > Account.
- From this page, change your password (if your account was created with email), or add and remove sign-in methods.
Notes on sign-in methods
- At least one sign-in method must remain active. You can't remove the last remaining method on your account.
- Email cannot be removed if you registered with email. Email stays as a permanent sign-in method for accounts created with email.
FAQ about sign-in methods
What's the difference between email login and SSO?
Email login uses an email address and password you set up directly with Plaud. SSO uses your existing Google or Apple identity, so no separate Plaud password is needed. Both result in the same Plaud account; they're just different ways to authenticate.
Can I use both email and SSO on the same account?
Yes. Add Google or Apple as additional sign-in methods on top of your email login. Once linked, sign in with whichever method you prefer.
Can I switch from one SSO provider to another?
Yes. Add the new method first, then remove the old one. At least one method must remain active on the account.
What happens if I lose access to my SSO provider?
If you have multiple sign-in methods linked, sign in with a different one to keep your account access. If SSO was your only method, contact Plaud Support for account recovery. You'll need the email address associated with your account and proof of recent activity.
Where do I update my password?
If your account was created with email, you can update the password from Settings > Account. SSO-only accounts don't have a Plaud password. Your password lives with the SSO provider (Google or Apple).
