Symptoms
- Plaud NotePin will not connect to the Plaud App.
- The Plaud App cannot find the device, either on the first connection or when reconnecting.
Steps
First-time connection
- Charge your Plaud NotePin. If the recorder is out of power, charge it for at least 15 minutes.
- Enable Bluetooth permission:
- iOS: open your iPhone Settings, find the Plaud app, and make sure Bluetooth permission is enabled.
- Android: open your phone Settings and enable Bluetooth and Location permissions for the Plaud App. Before Android 12, Location services must be enabled for Bluetooth scanning.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and keep Plaud NotePin close to your phone.
- Shake the device and confirm that the white indicator light turns on.
- If the light is on, try reconnecting to the app.
Reconnection
- Make sure the device has enough battery and can turn on. Fully charging the device is best. If the device is out of power, charge it for at least 15 minutes.
- Make sure Bluetooth is on for your phone.
- Keep the device close to your phone. Bluetooth only needs to be on — no manual pairing is required.
- Update the Plaud App to the latest version.
- Restart your phone.
- Reset the device by long-pressing the center of the device for 12 seconds while charging.
