This article helps you fix a Plaud NotePin that won't turn on or appears dead.
Steps
- Charge the device for at least 10 minutes, then check whether it turns on. If it does, the device was out of charge. Charge it until the indicator light turns green.
- If the device does not turn on while charging, switch to another Type-C cable and make sure you are using a power adapter that says "DC-5V" and outputs at least 0.5A. If not, try a different one.
- Make sure you have removed the magnetic pin from the device before placing it in the charging dock.
- Check whether the pin of the charging dock is collapsed and whether the charging port of the device is dirty. If the charging port is dirty, clean it and try again.
- Charge the device, then long-press the center of the device for 12 seconds to reset it.
- Check whether the device only works while plugged in. If NotePin turns on and works only while it's on the charging dock, and shuts down as soon as you remove it, the battery may need service.
