Symptoms
Battery drain usually shows up in one of two ways. Use the test that matches your situation.
- Short standby time: The battery empties on its own after a few days without use. For example, you record once, leave the device idle for two days, and find the battery empty on the third day.
- Short recording time: The battery runs down faster than expected during recording. For example, total recording time is under 10 hours from a full charge.
Steps to try
Short standby time
- Charge the device to 100%, then keep it on the charger for another 15 minutes.
- Press and hold the Record button for 12 seconds to reset the device, with the charging cable disconnected. When the PLAUD logo appears on the screen and the Record button vibrates briefly, the reset is complete.
- Leave the device idle and check how long the battery lasts.
