Private Cloud Sync automatically backs up your Plaud recordings to Plaud Cloud, making them accessible across Plaud App, Plaud Web, and Plaud Desktop. Once enabled from the Plaud App, your recordings sync automatically wherever you sign in.
What is Private Cloud Sync?
Private Cloud Sync is a built-in cloud backup and sync feature. When turned on, recordings are automatically uploaded after capture and available on all platforms. Cloud storage is unlimited and included with your Plaud account.
Before you start
- You need a Plaud account and must be signed in.
- Private Cloud Sync is enabled and managed from the Plaud App (iOS or Android). Plaud Web shows recordings that are already synced.
How to turn on Private Cloud Sync
Enable Private Cloud Sync from the Plaud App. Once on, your recordings automatically appear on Plaud Web.
- Open the Plaud App and tap Explore.
- Tap Private Cloud Sync.
- Toggle on Sync this Plaud app.
FAQ about Private Cloud Sync
Can I turn on Private Cloud Sync from Plaud Web?
No. Private Cloud Sync is enabled and managed from the Plaud App only. Plaud Web displays recordings that are already synced to the cloud.
What happens to my cloud recordings if I turn off Private Cloud Sync?
Recordings already in the cloud remain accessible on Plaud Web. Only new recordings captured after disabling sync will stay on-device only.
Is cloud storage free?
Yes. Cloud storage is unlimited and included with all Plaud accounts at no extra cost.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Plaud encrypts all data in transit and at rest. Your recordings are private to your account and not shared with anyone else.
Why can't I see some recordings on Plaud Web?
Recordings only appear on Plaud Web if Private Cloud Sync was on when they were captured. Check that Private Cloud Sync is enabled in the Plaud App and that your device has an active internet connection.
