If the battery gauge maxes out at 95% after a firmware update, the gauge needs recalibrating — run a full drain-and-charge cycle to restore 100%.
Steps to try

Run a calibration charge cycle.
- Start recording and fully drain the device until the battery runs out.
- Using the original cable, charge Plaud Note Pro to 95%, then keep charging for 15 more minutes.
- Recheck the maximum battery level.

Reset the device.
- Press and hold the Record button for 12 seconds to reset the device.
- Charge again and recheck the maximum battery level.

Check the temperature.
- Test standby time or recording duration at 25°C to 35°C to rule out low-temperature effects on battery behavior.
After one or two full charge cycles, the maximum level should move closer to normal and runtime should stabilize.
If the issue persists
If the maximum still shows about 95% after two cycles and runtime is noticeably reduced, submit a request and include your device model, firmware and app version, ambient temperature, and screenshots of the battery display.
