What is recording on Plaud NotePin S?
Plaud NotePin S is a wearable recorder that captures in-person conversations. You start and stop recordings by pressing and holding Plaud NotePin S's tactile Record button, with vibration and a red indicator light confirming each state. Recordings are stored on the device and synced to the Plaud App when you transfer files.
Before you start
- Your Plaud NotePin S firmware and Plaud App are updated to the latest version.
- Your device has enough battery to cover the session you plan to record.
- Plaud NotePin S records in-person conversations only and does not support phone call recording.
How to start and stop a recording?
To start recording:
- Press and hold the Record button for 1 second.
- When you feel one vibration and the red light turns on, recording has started.
To stop recording:
- Press and hold the Record button for 1 second.
- When you feel two vibrations and the red light turns off, recording has stopped.
How to add a highlight?
During an active recording, press the Record button briefly, less than 1 second. The highlight marker is added at that moment in the recording.
FAQ about recording on Plaud NotePin S
What's the difference between a brief press and a long press on the Record button?
Pressing and holding for 1 second starts or stops the recording. A brief press (less than 1 second) adds a highlight marker. If recording stops when you're trying to add a highlight, try a shorter press (well under 1 second).
Does Plaud NotePin S support phone call recording?
No. Plaud NotePin S records in-person conversations only. For phone call recording, use Plaud Note or Plaud Note Pro.
Why is the red light still on after I tried to stop the recording?
The recording is still in progress. Press and hold the Record button for the full 1 second until you feel two vibrations and the red light turns off.
