Automatic language detection
Yes. Transcription includes automatic language detection to select the primary language of a recording when you do not want to manually choose one.
Important limitation (multilingual audio)
Multilingual transcription is not currently supported (i.e., if a single recording contains substantial content in two or more languages, accuracy may drop and the transcript may be inconsistent).
Best practice for bilingual conversations
- Keep each recording mostly in one dominant language, or
- Split the conversation into separate recordings by language for best results.
