Plaud Desktop is the desktop app for ambient meeting capture. Download it from Plaud Web, and it records your meetings on macOS or Windows without joining as a bot.
What is Plaud Desktop?
Plaud Desktop captures audio from your computer during meetings and sends recordings to your Plaud account for transcription and summarization. It works alongside any meeting tool, including Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and others, without requiring a bot to join the call. You can review transcripts and summaries in Plaud Web or the Plaud App after each meeting.
Before you start
- A Plaud account (email or SSO). You can create one during the process.
- A computer running macOS or Windows.
- Permission to install apps on the computer.
- A stable internet connection for the download.
- A Plaud device (Plaud Note Pro, Plaud Note, Plaud NotePin, or Plaud NotePin S) bound to your account.
How to download and install Plaud Desktop?
- Go to web.plaud.ai and log in to your Plaud account.
- Don't have an account yet? Click Sign up to register with your email and password, or select Google or Apple to sign up with SSO.

- Click Explore in the left sidebar.
- Click Plaud apps. Plaud Web detects your operating system and shows the correct installer automatically.
- Find Plaud Desktop and click Download for your OS (macOS or Windows).
- Open the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Launch Plaud Desktop and sign in with your Plaud account.

Can I use the same Plaud account on Plaud Desktop, Plaud App, and Plaud Web?
Yes. Sign in with the same email and password (or SSO) across all Plaud platforms. Your recordings and transcripts are accessible in each.
The download didn't start. What should I do?
Check that your browser isn't blocking downloads. Disable any download blockers, switch to a different network if possible, and click the download button again.
The installer failed. What should I do?
Confirm you have permission to install apps on the computer. Re-download the installer from Plaud Web and run it again. If the issue persists, submit a request.
