Use Plaud Desktop to start, pause, resume, and stop recordings.
What is recording in Plaud Desktop?
Once your permissions are enabled, Plaud Desktop can capture audio from your microphone and system audio. Before you start, make sure you are logged in, your Microphone, System audio, and Private Cloud Sync permissions are enabled, and your computer has an active microphone input that is not muted. An internet connection is recommended for faster upload and sync after recording.
How to start a recording?
- Click Start recording.
- Confirm the recording has started. Check for a visible recording indicator on the recording screen, such as a running timer or waveform. The timer counts up, or the status clearly shows Recording.
How to pause and resume a recording?
- Click Pause while recording.
- Confirm the recording is paused. The timer stops updating and the status shows paused.
- Click Resume to continue the same session. The timer continues without creating a new file.
How to stop a recording?
- Click Stop while recording or paused. The recording ends, the session closes, and the file is saved.
- Let the recording sync. The recording is saved to your account and uploads to Plaud Private Cloud. Upload time depends on file length and network conditions.
Verify the recording appears in your Recordings list and can be played back.
