What is a log file?
A log file records what Plaud Desktop did during a session. When you run into a problem, support may ask for it to investigate. You can export and share it directly from Preferences.
How to export a log file?
- Open Preferences or Settings.
- From the widget: Right-click the widget → Settings
- From the main Plaud Desktop window: Open Preferences (or Settings) from the app menu
- From the widget: Right-click the widget → Settings
- Click General.
- Find Help & feedback and Share logs with Plaud team.
- Click Share to export the log file.

After you export the log file, a folder opens automatically to show you where it was saved.
