Symptoms
- Plaud Desktop shows a device binding required notice and will not let you continue.
- Using Plaud Desktop requires an active Starter membership or higher, and a Starter membership requires a bound device to activate. Your Plaud device must be bound to the same account you sign in with.
Steps
- Confirm your account: Verify you are signed in to the correct account on Plaud Desktop and on Plaud Web and App.
- Verify membership is active: Check that your Starter membership or higher is active and has not expired or been cancelled.
- Verify device binding: Confirm your Plaud device is still bound to the account that holds the membership benefits. If you unbind your device and your account has no other device bound, your Starter membership may be cancelled after 30 days.
If the issue persists
If the device binding required notice continues after these steps, submit a request and include the following so our support team can investigate:
- The account email you sign in with
- Your membership type and status
- Whether a Plaud device is currently bound to the account
- Your computer OS and Plaud Desktop version
