Search in Plaud Web to find files by their details or by the content inside them.
What is Search?
Search helps you quickly find what you need in Plaud Web, either by file details (title, date, or source) or by searching inside the content (transcripts and notes). It works two ways:
- Find files. Use this when you remember the file name or title. Search recordings, notes, or meeting records by title keywords, then narrow results with filters such as date and Comes from.
- Find content. Use this when you do not remember the file name but recall what it was about. Search by topics, keywords, or a phrase you remember. Search looks inside transcripts and notes, and can also search text in images when image text recognition (OCR) is available for that file.
How to use Search?
- Open Plaud Web.
- Go to Search and type your keyword(s).
- Review the results list.
- (Optional) Use filters like Date or Comes from to narrow results.
- Click a result to open the file and view the matching content (if applicable).
FAQ about Search
How can I get better search results?
Try shorter keywords if your first search returns too few results, and remove filters if you think results are missing, since filters can hide matches. For content search, try a distinctive phrase from the transcript or notes.
Why does my search return no results?
Check your spelling, try different keywords, and clear the Date and Comes from filters.
Why doesn't content search find the text I expect?
Confirm that the transcript and notes are generated and fully processed. Search can only match content that has finished processing.
Why isn't text in my images searchable?
OCR may not be available for that image or file. Try searching related keywords in the transcript or notes instead.
