To cancel your Plaud Team subscription, go to Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan on Plaud Web and select Cancel subscription. Your workspace continues to work normally until the end of the current billing cycle, then transitions to read-only mode. No content is deleted, and refunds are reviewed case-by-case by our support team.
Before you start
- Only Admins can cancel the subscription.
- Cancellation is done from Plaud Web only — not the Plaud App.
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle — there is no immediate loss of access.
- No content is deleted when the subscription ends — the workspace enters read-only mode instead. We recommend exporting any files you need for long-term storage before the subscription ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Sign in to Plaud Web and go to Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- Confirm when prompted. Your billing page will update to show Subscription will end on [date].
From this point forward, the next renewal charge will not occur.
What happens after I cancel?
- Your current subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
- At the end of the cycle, the workspace enters read-only mode:
- All Member benefits are deactivated
- Existing content is preserved, but no new actions can be taken
- You can re-subscribe at any time from Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan to restore access.
Can I get a refund after cancelling?
Your Plaud Team benefits continue until the end of the current billing cycle, so there is no automatic refund for unused time.
Refunds are reviewed case-by-case by our support team. If you believe you are eligible for a refund, submit a request with the following details:
- Your workspace name
- The most recent invoice number
- The reason for the refund request
FAQ about subscription cancellation
Will my content be deleted when I cancel?
All of your content is safely preserved in read-only mode after the billing cycle ends. Once you choose to re-subscribe, your full access will be immediately restored.
Can I cancel a pending cancellation?
Yes, you can re-enable auto-renewal from Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan any time before the current cycle ends.
Will my Members be notified?
The workspace Admin(s) receive cancellation confirmation. Members will see reduced access only after the cycle ends and the workspace enters read-only mode.
What if my payment fails — is that the same as cancelling?
If a payment fails, you will enter a seven day grace period while Stripe attempts to retry the charge. The workspace only becomes read-only if no payment is successful within fourteen days total. Unlike a standard cancellation, you have the opportunity to keep your workspace active by simply updating your payment method before the grace period ends.
