In Plaud Team, your Personal and Team workspaces operate as completely separate environments. Content never automatically transfers between the two, ensuring that Admins have zero access to your Personal workspace.
What's in my Personal workspace?
- Content in your Personal workspace belongs entirely to you
- Your individual subscription (if any) governs what features you can access there
- Team Admins have no visibility into your Personal workspace or its content
- Joining a Team workspace does not affect your Personal workspace content
What's in my Team workspace?
- Content you create in the Team workspace is private to you by default
- Other team Members cannot see your content in the Team workspace
- Admins also cannot view or access your content in the Team workspace — their role covers workspace governance (Members, billing, devices, settings), not content
- Your content in the Team workspace is covered by the Team subscription
- To share content with a team member, simply send them an invite.

FAQ about Team vs Personal files
Where do new device recordings go — my Personal or Team workspace?
Recordings sync to whichever workspace the device is bound to at the time of sync, not the workspace you happen to have open in the Plaud App. To change the destination, bind the device to the other workspace in the Plaud App before syncing.
Can I migrate files from my Personal workspace to the Team workspace?
Not automatically. You need to export the file from your Personal workspace and re-import it into the Team workspace. There is no bulk move or merge operation between workspaces.
What happens to my Team workspace content if I leave the team?
Recordings, transcripts, and notes you uploaded to the Team workspace are removed from the workspace and are no longer accessible to you or other Members — this applies whether you leave on your own or are removed by an Admin. Files you previously shared via invite links remain accessible to the recipients of those links. Your Personal workspace content is unaffected and stays with you.
Can an Admin see my files in the Team workspace?
No. Admin role covers workspace governance (Members, billing, devices, settings) — not Member content. Admins cannot view, share, or download content you create in the Team workspace unless you share it through invite.
