Your Personal and Team workspaces are fully separate, and content never moves between them automatically. To bring a recording into your Team workspace, export the audio from your Personal workspace and import it into your Team workspace. Here's how.
How do I export a recording from my Personal workspace?
- Open the Plaud App and make sure you're in your Personal workspace, then open the recording you want to move.
- Under Export as file, tap Audio.
- Choose an export format, then tap Export and save the audio file to your phone.
How do I import the recording into my Team workspace?
- Switch to your Team workspace: tap your profile icon, tap Current workspace, and select your Team workspace.
- Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen, then tap Import audio.
- Select the audio file you exported, then confirm.
The imported recording appears in All files in your Team workspace. To find it quickly, open the Import folder.

What transfers and what doesn't
- The audio transfers as a copy. The original recording stays in your Personal workspace.
- AI transcripts and summaries do not transfer. They stay in your Personal workspace. Regenerate them in the Team workspace after importing.
FAQ about moving recordings between workspaces
Can I move a recording from the Team workspace back to my Personal workspace?
Yes. Follow the same steps in reverse: export the audio from the Team workspace, switch to your Personal workspace, and import it.
Can I move all my recordings at once?
There is no one-tap bulk migration in the Plaud App. Export and import each recording individually. To move many recordings at once, bulk-export the audio files with Plaud MCP, then bulk-import them into your Team workspace on Plaud Web.
Can I move transcripts or summaries?
No. Only audio files can be imported. Regenerate transcripts and summaries in the Team workspace after importing.
Can I move my custom templates?
No. Custom templates don't transfer between workspaces. Recreate them in your Team workspace.
