Plaud Note Pro not showing in Find My? These six fixes, easiest first, get it back on your iPhone's map. This article covers a Plaud Note Pro that doesn't appear under Items in the Apple Find My app, can't be found during Add Item, or stops updating its location. The most common cause is an incomplete Find My setup or a different Apple Account on the iPhone. Find My works on iPhone and iPad only; it isn't available on Android.
Steps
-
Confirm Find My is set up in the Plaud App
Open the Plaud App, tap your Plaud Note Pro (top-left) to open Device settings, then tap Find My. If Note Pro isn't added yet, tap Add Note Pro to Find My and finish setup. See How to set up Find My for my Plaud Note Pro?
If the Find My option doesn't appear, update the Plaud App and update Note Pro firmware to V1.5 or above. Keep Note Pro on the charger during the firmware update.
-
Sign in to the same Apple Account
The iPhone must be signed in to the same Apple Account you used when you added Note Pro to Find My. If you switched Apple Accounts, sign back in to the original account, then check Find My → Items again.
-
Check Bluetooth, Location Services, and permissions
On your iPhone, confirm that:
- Bluetooth is on (Settings → Bluetooth).
- Location Services is on (Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services).
- Bluetooth access for the Plaud App is on (Settings → Apps → Plaud → Bluetooth).
Then bring Note Pro close to your iPhone and refresh Find My → Items.
- Bluetooth is on (Settings → Bluetooth).
-
Charge Note Pro
Find My needs Note Pro to broadcast over Bluetooth, which stops when the battery is fully drained. Charge Note Pro, keep it near your iPhone, then refresh Find My.
-
Reset Find My in the Plaud App
Open Device settings, tap Find My, press and hold the Find My icon for 10 seconds, then tap Confirm. After the reset, add Note Pro to Find My again.
-
Remove Note Pro from another Apple Account
If Find My says Note Pro is registered to someone else, or the Plaud App shows Find My as on but Note Pro isn't in your Items list, Note Pro is still registered to another Apple Account:
- If you used another iPhone before, open Find My on that phone and remove Note Pro.
- If Note Pro was second-hand or a gift, the previous owner must remove it from their Find My before you can add it.
If Note Pro is lost
Plaud can't locate or recover lost devices. Find My runs on Apple's network, not Plaud's.
- Keep checking the Find My app. You'll get a location update when Note Pro is charged and within range of any Apple device.
- Turn on Lost Mode in Find My (Items → tap your Note Pro → Mark As Lost). This keeps Note Pro registered to your Apple Account, so no one else can add it to their Find My.
