Yes, Plaud One works offline: recording continues without a connection. Files upload automatically when the connection returns.
How does offline recording work?
Plaud One normally uploads recordings over 4G as you record. When there's no signal, such as on a flight or underground, the charging case keeps recording and stores the audio locally. It holds about 30 hours of recordings.
When the connection returns, pending recordings upload automatically. You can also connect Plaud One to the Plaud Mobile App and upload through your phone.
Which features need a connection?
Transcription and AI summaries are generated in the cloud, so they become available once your recording has uploaded.
