Plaud One touch controls let you manage music, calls, and noise control. Use quick presses on the earbud stems.
What are the touch controls?
Each Plaud One earbud has a force sensor on its stem. Squeeze the stem to play music, answer calls, or switch noise control modes without reaching for your phone.
Default controls
Music
- Press once: play or pause
- Press twice: next track
- Press three times: previous track
Calls
- Press once: answer an incoming call
- Press twice: hang up, or decline an incoming call
Recording
- Press and hold for 1 second: start or stop an earbud recording (factory default). To switch noise control modes instead, pick a mode in the Plaud Mobile App under Earbuds > Noise control, or reassign this gesture in the app.
How to customize the controls?
Open the Plaud Mobile App to reassign what each gesture does.
Control behaviors to know
- Most recording and AI controls stay on the case: starting a recording outside a call, marking a highlight, and talking to the AI assistant are done with the charging case buttons. By factory default, press and hold on an earbud stem starts or stops an earbud recording.
- Wearing detection pauses your audio: take an earbud out while listening, and playback pauses automatically. This is the Automatic ear detection setting, on by default. To keep audio playing with the earbuds out, turn it off in the Plaud Mobile App under Earbuds > Automatic ear detection.
FAQ about touch controls
Can I swipe on the earbuds to adjust volume?
No. The earbuds respond to presses only: press once, press twice, press three times, and press and hold. Adjust volume on your phone or connected device.
Can I start a recording from the earbuds?
Yes. Press and hold the earbud stem to start or stop an earbud recording (factory default). The earbuds record calls and audio playing through them; to record the room around you, use the recording button on the charging case.
