Recordings upload to the cloud over 4G as you record. If the connection drops, nothing is lost.
What is Direct cloud sync?
The charging case uploads your recording to the cloud in real time over its built-in 4G connection. When you stop recording, transcription and AI summary start right away. In the Plaud Mobile App, this is called Direct cloud sync: you'll find it in your Plaud One's settings under Recording. The screen covers both upload paths: Auto-sync via 4G (the built-in eSIM uploads your recordings to the cloud in real time) and Bluetooth transfer (when 4G isn't available, connect your device to the Plaud Mobile App to transfer recordings over Bluetooth).
Recordings uploaded over 4G only appear in the Plaud Mobile App when Private Cloud Sync is on in the Mobile App. With it off, they won't sync to the Mobile App.
What happens if the connection drops?
- The recording continues and saves locally on the case.
- When the signal returns, the device reconnects and uploads the pending audio automatically.
- You can also reconnect manually by closing and reopening the Plaud Mobile App, or upload through your phone by connecting Plaud One to the Plaud Mobile App. Once uploaded, files sync across your devices.
