If Google Play won't update the Plaud Mobile App, or shows "Can't install," "Something went wrong," or "Incompatible," this guide offers seven fixes for Android phones, easiest first. An old Android version is the most common cause: updates require Android 7.0 or later.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Mobile App? See Can't update the Plaud App in Google Play.
Steps
- Check your Android version: go to Settings > About phone > Android version. Newer Plaud Mobile App versions no longer support Android 6.0; your installed version keeps working, but updates require Android 7.0 or later.
- Note the exact error: retry the update and screenshot any error message.
- Check your connection: switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then retry.
- Free up storage: a few GB of free space is recommended.
- Restart the phone and retry
- Update Google Play itself: update the Google Play Store and Google Play services.
- Clear the Play Store cache: go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage, clear the cache, then clear data, reopen, and retry.
