Sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple, and manage linked methods.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Mobile App? See Sign-in methods.
What sign-in methods does Plaud support?
- Email and password
- Google (single sign-on)
- Apple (single sign-on)
Single sign-on (SSO) uses your Google or Apple identity, so there's no separate Plaud password. All linked methods point to the same Plaud account and data.
How to manage sign-in methods?
- On the home screen, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner, then tap Settings.
- Under Account, go to Account & security > Sign-in methods.
- Tap Add next to a method to link it, or Remove to unlink it. With two-step verification enabled, you'll be asked to verify your identity first.
Rules to know
- At least one sign-in method must stay active. You can't remove your last method.
- If you registered with an email address, the email method can't be removed.
- If you registered with Google or Apple, you can't add email and password sign-in afterward. If you registered with email, you can add Google or Apple.
- To switch SSO providers, add the new method first, then remove the old one.
FAQ about sign-in methods
Can I use email and SSO on the same account?
Yes, if the account was registered with email. All methods open the same account.
I lost access to my Google or Apple account.
Sign in with another linked method, then adjust your methods in Settings. If the SSO provider was your only method, use account recovery from the sign-in screen.
