If your Plaud Routine did not run, two fixes usually restore it. Your Routine was set up, but its trigger fired and nothing happened, or the scheduled time passed with no task. This article walks you through two fixes, easiest first, and shows what to send our team if the Routine still won't run. It applies to Routines on the Plaud App, Plaud Web, and Plaud Desktop, since Routines belong to your account and run in the cloud. The most common cause is a Routine that was paused or saved with an incomplete trigger, which deleting and recreating it resolves.
Steps
-
Check that the Routine is active
Open Routines (☰ > Ask Plaud > Routines) and filter by Paused. A paused Routine never fires, no matter how its trigger or schedule is set. If your Routine appears under Paused, set it back to active and wait for the next trigger.
-
Delete and recreate the Routine
If the Routine shows as active but still didn't run, delete it and create it again from scratch. See Routines: run tasks automatically — for v4.0.x or later for the full creation steps. Recreating the Routine clears any faulty saved state, and this resolves most cases. Then wait for the next trigger, or set a test schedule a few minutes ahead to confirm it fires.
If the issue persists
Submit a request and include the following so our support team can investigate:
- The session ID of a Work conversation where the Routine should have run. To find it:
-
Plaud App: open the conversation, then press and hold the disclaimer text at the bottom of the screen ("Plaud can make mistakes. Please verify before relying on them.") to copy the session ID. A Session ID copied message confirms it.
-
Plaud Web: open the conversation in your browser. The session ID is the string of characters at the end of the address bar URL, after /ask/sessions/ (for example,
web.plaud.ai/ask/sessions/<session ID>).
-
Plaud App: open the conversation, then press and hold the disclaimer text at the bottom of the screen ("Plaud can make mistakes. Please verify before relying on them.") to copy the session ID. A Session ID copied message confirms it.
- The Routine's name, its trigger or schedule, and what it's supposed to do
- A screenshot of the Routine's settings page
