Export any file's transcript, note, or audio, or copy it in one tap.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Mobile App? See Export recordings, transcripts, and summaries.
What can I export?
From any file in the new Plaud App you can export:
- Transcript: TXT, SRT, DOCX, or PDF.
- Note (summary): TXT, Markdown, DOCX, or PDF.
- Audio: MP3 or WAV. MP3 is the default.
For files that haven't been transcribed yet, you can still export the audio; transcript and summary options stay unavailable until generation completes.
How to export a file?
- Open the file. On the Plaud Mobile App, tap the menu at the top right of the detail page. On Plaud Web, use the export icon.
- Choose Export as, then pick Audio, Transcript, or Summary.
- Set the options for your export:
- Transcript: toggle timestamps, auto speaker labeling, and highlights. The highlights toggle covers marks, memos, and images together, and is off by default.
- Summary: toggle the cover image. In DOCX and PDF the image is embedded at the top of the document.
- Choose the format and export.
In DOCX and PDF exports, marks appear as highlighted text, memos as indented notes under the highlighted line, and photos embedded in place.
How to copy content?
Open the top-right menu and choose Copy to clipboard, then pick transcript only or summary only. Copying keeps timestamps, speaker labels, and the text, and leaves out highlights, the cover image, and citation markers, so you get a clean paste in other tools.
Export limits and behaviors
- Citation (source-tracing) markers are always removed from exports and copies.
- Large audio exports on Plaud Web run in the background, and a progress notice shows until the file is ready.
FAQ about exporting
Which platforms support export?
