Mark the moments that matter while recording with Highlight, Memo, and Photo.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Mobile App? See Highlights (Multimodal Input).
What is Highlight?
Highlight lets you flag important moments while recording. In the new Plaud Mobile App, highlights come in three types:
- Mark: a flagged moment in the audio.
- Memo: a text note you type during the recording, shown under the related transcript segment.
- Photo: a picture you take in the Mobile App during the recording, shown under the related segment.
Highlighted content is highlighted directly in the transcript and summary text, so you can spot it while reading.
How to highlight a moment?
In the Plaud Mobile App, use the Highlight, Type, and Photo controls at the bottom of the recording panel. You can also highlight from your Plaud device while it records; see your device's guide for details.
How to view your highlights?
Open the file: highlighted moments appear highlighted in both the transcript and the summary. Memos and photos show under the related transcript segment, and you can tap a photo to view it full screen.
Editing and exporting highlights
- Edit or delete a highlight from the transcript: long-press the highlighted text on the Mobile App, or use the end-of-line menu on Plaud Web.
- Deleting a highlight that has a memo or photo asks you to confirm first.
- To include highlights in a transcript export, turn on the highlights toggle in the export options.
FAQ about Highlight
Are highlights included when I copy or share?
Copying to the clipboard leaves highlights out. Transcript exports include them only when the highlights toggle is on.
