What is custom vocabulary?
Custom vocabulary is a list of custom terms that guide speech recognition, applied at the raw transcript stage and carried into the polished text and summary. Entries are case-sensitive, and the list syncs across your devices, so vocabulary you add in the App also applies on Plaud Web.
How to manage custom vocabulary in the App?
- On the home screen, tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner, then tap Settings.
- Under Workspace, tap Preferences. In the Generation section, tap Transcription & summary.
- Tap Custom vocabulary, then turn on Enable custom vocabulary. Plaud automatically applies your vocabulary list to improve future transcription accuracy. Tap Vocabulary to open your list.
- Tap Add at the bottom and fill in the term: the Correct spelling (e.g. "B2B"), optionally what it's commonly Misheard as (e.g. "bee to bee"), and the Language it applies to. Tap Confirm to save.
The Vocabulary list shows how many entries you've added. You can add up to 2,000 custom vocabulary entries; the limit is shared across all languages, with no separate list for Japanese.
