Your data is encrypted, never used to train AI by default, and stays yours. This article covers how Plaud protects your recordings across Plaud devices, the Plaud Mobile App, Plaud Web, and Plaud Desktop.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Plaud has a no-training policy for user data by default. Your content isn't used to train Plaud's own or any third-party AI models unless you give explicit, informed consent in advance.
How is my data protected?
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest on secure cloud infrastructure. Plaud complies with global security and privacy standards, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and EN 18031. Plaud follows a data-minimization approach and only processes what's necessary to deliver the service.
Data is stored in regional data centers based on your location. For EU users, core data is stored and processed on Plaud's EU-based servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
What control do I have over my data?
You stay in control: you can access, correct, export, and delete your data, and withdraw consent, at any time through the Plaud Mobile App. Plaud doesn't sell user data.
