Share a note publicly with a link, or invite specific people by email.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Mobile App? See Share link.
How to share a file?
- Open the file and tap Share at the top right, or use the file's menu in the list.
- In the Share panel, use Share with link to create a public link.
- Tap Choose content to include to pick what to share (Audio, Transcript, Summary), set Link expires if needed, then tap Share link or send the invites.
Choose what to share
What you can include depends on the file:
- Recording with a transcript: audio, transcript (with or without highlights), and summary. Highlights can only be shared together with the transcript.
- Recording without a transcript: audio and highlights, each optional.
-
Highlights files, Artifacts, and uploaded files: shared as a whole.
Public links
- Anyone with the link can view the shared page in a browser without signing in.
- Set the link to stay active permanently, or expire after 7, 14, or 30 days, or a custom date. Expired links show a notice instead of the content.
- Remove the link anytime from the share panel to stop access immediately.
- Viewers can save a copy to their own Plaud account: they sign in, choose a destination folder, and get their own copy. What the copy can do depends on what was shared; for example, re-transcription needs the audio included.
Private sharing
- In the Invite tab, add email addresses to invite people. Each invitee receives an email with the link, and only the invited email's Plaud account can open it.
- You can change what an invitee can see, or remove them, anytime, with removal taking effect immediately.
- Shared content appears in the recipient's Shared with me list automatically.
- In a Plaud Team workspace, private shares only go to workspace Members.
