The context you give Plaud Agent decides how fast and how focused its work is. Give it anything, and get a real file back.
Context for tasks works in Ask Plaud's Work mode, which uses Plaud Credits.
What counts as context?
Context is the material Plaud Agent works from. Loading a specific set of it for a task creates a Session: a focused Plaud Agent workspace scoped to only what you add. On Plaud Web, context can be:
- Your recordings: one file, several files, or the results of a search.
- A folder: Plaud Agent uses only the files inside it.
- Uploaded files: PDFs and other documents you add to the conversation.
- Connected tools: content Plaud Agent reads through Connectors, with your permission. See Connectors on Plaud Web.
Why scope your context?
Plaud Agent can search your whole account for the right files, but a scoped task is faster and more precise, and avoids pulling in unrelated content. Pick the smallest context that covers the job:
- One file: questions about a single meeting.
- A handful of files: combining sources into one deliverable, such as two interviews plus a report.
- A folder: recurring work that always draws on the same project, such as a folder per client.
How to set context for a task?
- Click Ask Plaud in the side navigation and choose Work at the bottom right of the input box. In the input box, use the icons under the input: the paperclip uploads outside material, and the library icon opens Select from Plaud library, where you browse your Library tree, tick recordings or folders, and click Add.
- State what you want delivered. Plaud Agent confirms which sources it used in its reply, and the task's context is visible in the task panel.
FAQ about context
What if I don't attach anything?
Plaud Agent finds relevant files across your account on its own. It works, but takes longer than a scoped task.
Can Plaud Agent use my Plaud Team workspace files?
No. Plaud Agent works with your personal content only: Plaud Team workspace files aren't available as context.
