Polish your summary directly, and know what happens when you regenerate.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Web? See Edit a summary.
How to edit a summary?
- Open the file and go to the summary.
- Click anywhere in the text to start editing. Changes save automatically and sync across the Mobile App and Web.
- You can delete citation markers in the editor if you don't want them.
Editing rules to know
- While editing, undo works with Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z; after you exit, edits are saved and can't be undone.
- Regenerating a summary with the built-in Re-summarize is free (no Plaud Credits, no minutes), but it replaces your edited version after a confirmation. Copy your edits somewhere safe if you want to keep them.
- Editing the summary doesn't change the transcript, and editing the transcript doesn't update an existing summary.
FAQ about summary editing
Can I fix a repeated term everywhere at once?
Yes. Use Find & replace on Plaud Web from the top-right of the transcript or summary page, with Replace or Replace All.
How do I get a second summary in a different style?
Generate with a different template. Regenerating with a different template is currently exempt from Plaud Credits. The result is saved as a new note, and your existing summary stays. See Summary templates on Plaud Web.
