Content missing after switching workspaces: files, recordings, or notes seem to vanish when you move between Personal and Team views. This guide walks through 5 checks, in order, from your Personal workspace to the signed-in account. It applies to Members and Admins in Plaud Team, and the most common cause is that content stays in the workspace where it was created and never migrates automatically.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Team? See Content missing after switching workspaces.
Steps to rectify the situation
-
Check your Personal workspace
Switch to your Personal workspace (click your workspace name in the top-left of the Plaud Web sidebar, or go to Settings → Current workspace in the Plaud Mobile App and choose it in the Switch workspace list). Content created before joining the Team workspace remains in your Personal workspace. It is not automatically migrated.
-
Verify you are in the correct workspace
Make sure you have the correct Team workspace selected, not your Personal workspace. Content does not carry over between workspaces.
- Plaud Mobile App: Go to Settings → Current workspace to confirm the active workspace; tap it to open the Switch workspace list
-
Plaud Web: Click your workspace name in the top-left of the sidebar to confirm the active workspace
-
Check different folders or use search
The file may be in a folder you don't usually browse. Use the search bar with the file name, recording date, or content keywords to locate it across folders in the workspace.
-
Check the file was created in the correct workspace and the device was bound to it
If you believe the file should be in the Team workspace, verify two things:
- You created or recorded the file while the Team workspace was your active workspace
- Your Plaud device was bound to the Team workspace at the time of recording
Content created or recorded under the Personal workspace stays there and is not visible in the Team workspace.
-
Check you are signed in with the right account
If you use multiple Plaud accounts (e.g., a work account for the Team workspace and a personal account for your Personal workspace), make sure you're signed in with the account that has access to the workspace where the file should be.
