Plaud One pairing failed, or the device doesn't appear in the pairing list? This article walks through five fixes, easiest first. The most common causes are a device that isn't in pairing mode or a low case battery.
Steps
-
Start pairing from the case
Put both earbuds in the case, hold the pairing key inside the case for 2 seconds, and wait for the light strip to pulse blue. Once it does, follow the prompts on your phone to complete the connection.
-
Charge the case to 50% or more
Pairing and the first firmware update both need battery headroom. Give the case at least an hour on the charger before trying again.
-
If the device paired before, remove the old Bluetooth record
A reset clears the Bluetooth pairing of both the case and the earbuds, but your phone may still hold the old record. In your phone's Bluetooth settings, choose Forget This Device for Plaud One Earbuds, then start pairing again from step 1.
-
Restart the device
Restarting clears the Bluetooth pairing of both the case and the earbuds.
- Place both earbuds in the case and unplug the charging cable.
- Press and hold the pairing button inside the case for 15 seconds.
- In your phone's Bluetooth settings, choose Forget This Device for Plaud One Earbuds.
- Try pairing again from step 1.
-
If pairing fails with a "bound to another account" message
The device is still linked to another account. Follow Device bound to another account to rule out your own accounts first and, for second-hand devices, ask the previous owner to unbind.
