Plaud One can't connect to 4G, or the app shows a connection error? This article walks through five fixes, easiest first. A low battery or an eSIM that is still connecting is a common cause, and your recordings stay safe on the case in the meantime.
Steps
-
Give the eSIM a moment
There's nothing to configure: the built-in eSIM activates itself, picks a local carrier automatically, and includes data. After power-on or travel to a new country, allow a short wait while it connects.
-
Charge the case to 50% or more
A low battery can keep the 4G modem from connecting. Charge the case, then check the 4G status in the Plaud Mobile App again.
-
Trigger a reconnect
The device retries on its own. To reconnect manually, close and reopen the Plaud Mobile App. If that doesn't help, open your Plaud One's settings in the Mobile App and tap Device control > Disconnect or remove device > Disconnect. The Mobile App then searches for your Plaud One and reconnects automatically. Your earbuds stay connected to your phone. Don't choose Erase & remove, which clears all Plaud One data.
-
Toggle airplane mode on and off
Turn on airplane mode for your Plaud One, wait a few seconds, then turn it off. This forces the eSIM to search for a network again, which often restores the connection. See eSIM and airplane mode on Plaud One for where the switch lives.
-
Restart the case
Restarting clears the Bluetooth pairing of both the case and the earbuds.
- Place both earbuds in the case and unplug the charging cable.
- Press and hold the pairing button inside the case for 15 seconds.
- In your phone's Bluetooth settings, choose Forget This Device for Plaud One Earbuds.
- Set up Plaud One again in the Plaud Mobile App, the same way you first bound it. See How to bind Plaud One to your Plaud account.
Your recordings are safe in the meantime. The case caches about 30 hours of recording locally and uploads automatically once the connection recovers. If the case is connected to the Plaud Mobile App over Bluetooth, recordings transfer through the Mobile App instead.
If the issue persists
Submit a request and include the following so our support team can investigate:
- Your device S/N (on the bottom of the charging case)
- Your city or region, so we can check coverage with the network provider
- How long the case has been unable to connect
- Your Plaud Mobile App log (tap the menu icon > Help Center > Diagnostics > Share log; see Export a log file in the Plaud Mobile App)
