Plaud One not responding or won't turn on? This article covers a charging case or earbuds that are completely unresponsive. A drained battery is the most common cause, so start by charging.
Steps
If the charging case won't turn on
The case doesn't respond at all: the light bar stays off, and the buttons, charging, and Bluetooth connection don't work.
-
Charge the case for 15 minutes
Connect the case to a USB-C charger and keep it charging for at least 15 minutes. If the light bar turns on, the case is working again and you don't need the next steps.
-
Unplug the cable and restart the case
If the light bar is still off:
- Place both earbuds in the case and unplug the charging cable.
- Press and hold the pairing button inside the case for 15 seconds.
-
Check the light bar
See whether the light bar turns on. If the case comes back, the restart has cleared the Bluetooth pairing of both the case and the earbuds:
- In your phone's Bluetooth settings, choose Forget This Device for Plaud One Earbuds.
- Set up Plaud One again in the Plaud Mobile App, the same way you first bound it. See How to bind Plaud One to your Plaud account.
If the earbuds won't turn on
The charging case works normally, but the earbuds don't appear in your phone's Bluetooth list or the Plaud Mobile App, play no sound, and give no prompt tone when you press the control on the earbud. Earbuds that are working always play a prompt tone when pressed, even when they aren't connected.
-
Charge the earbuds in the case for 15 minutes
Put both earbuds in the charging case and connect the case to a USB-C charger for at least 15 minutes.
-
Restart the earbuds
Keep the earbuds in the case, close the lid, and wait 30 seconds before opening it again.
If the issue persists
Submit a request and include the following so our support team can investigate:
- Which part won't turn on: the charging case, the left earbud, or the right earbud
- A short video showing that the device doesn't respond after charging and restarting
- Your device S/N (on the bottom of the charging case)
- Where and when you purchased the device
