Symptoms
Plaud Note won't connect to the Plaud App, either during the first connection or when reconnecting a device that was connected before.
Steps
First-time connection
- Charge Plaud Note. If the device is out of power, charge it for at least 10 minutes.
- Enable Bluetooth permission for the Plaud App:
- iOS: Go to Settings, find the Plaud app, and turn on Bluetooth permission.
- Android: Go to Settings and enable Bluetooth and Location permissions for the Plaud App. On Android versions before 12, Location must be on for Bluetooth scanning.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and keep Plaud Note close to it.
- Press the Record button and check that the white indicator light turns on.
- If the light is on, reconnect to the app.
Reconnection
- Make sure the device has enough battery and can turn on. Fully charge it if needed.
- Make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Update the Plaud App to the latest version.
- Restart your phone.
- Reset the device by pressing and holding the Record button for 15 seconds while charging.
