Symptoms
- Files appear in the Plaud App on your phone but do not show up on the Plaud Web page. This usually happens when you sign in with different credentials or have not enabled Private Cloud Sync in the Mobile App.
- Private Cloud Sync is already on, but your files still do not appear on Plaud Web. This usually means you are signed in to a different account than the one used in the Plaud App.
- Files appear on one platform but are missing on another, such as in the Plaud App but not on Plaud Desktop.
Find the section that matches where your files stop syncing, then follow the steps there.
Files are on your device but not in the Plaud App
The recording has not finished transferring from your device to the Plaud App. See File missing in the Plaud App. If you transfer over Wi-Fi, see Wi-Fi Fast Transfer not working.
Files are in the Plaud App but not on the Plaud Web
-
Log in with the same credentials
Sign in to Plaud Web with the same credentials you use for the Plaud App.
-
Enable Private Cloud Sync in the Mobile App
Make sure Private Cloud Sync is enabled in the Plaud App.
-
Wait for the sync to finish, then refresh
Recent recordings can take a few minutes to upload. Keep the Plaud App open and connected to the internet, then refresh the Plaud Web page. If the files still do not appear, log out of Plaud Web and log back in.
Files are in the Plaud App but not on Plaud Desktop
See Recording file lost on Plaud Desktop for the Plaud Desktop steps.
Nothing is syncing on any platform
-
Check your network
Corporate networks and firewalls can block syncing. Switch to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot, and try again.
-
Confirm the account on every platform
Make sure the Plaud App, Plaud Web, and Plaud Desktop are all signed in to the same Plaud account.
Tried everything above?
If the branches above didn't get your files syncing, these deeper checks cover the less common causes:
- Check another device on the same account. If you use the Plaud App on more than one phone or tablet, the files may sit on the other device and haven't finished uploading. Open the Mobile App there and keep it open on a stable network for a few minutes.
- Think back to recent changes. A re-login, Mobile App update, phone change, or reinstall right before the sync stopped is an important clue. Note it down before reaching out.
- Export your app log. The log lets us trace what happened during the sync. See How to export a log file in the Plaud App for the steps.
If the issue persists
If your files still do not appear after all the checks above, submit a request and include the following in one message so our support team can investigate without extra back and forth:
- The account email and login method (Apple, Google, or email) used in both the Plaud App and Plaud Web
- A screenshot showing Private Cloud Sync is enabled in the Mobile App
- The names of files that appear in the Mobile App but not on Plaud Web, and their approximate recording dates
- Any recent change you noticed, such as a re-login, Mobile App update, phone change, or reinstall
- Your Plaud App version and the exported log file
