Redeem an activation code in the Plaud App to apply a Plaud membership or transcription minutes to your account.
What is an activation code?
An activation code is a unique redemption key that applies a Plaud membership or transcription minutes to a specific account. Codes are distributed through promotions, hardware bundles, and partnership programs. You redeem them through the Explore tab in the Plaud App.
Before you start
- You're logged into the correct Plaud account — the one you want the membership or minutes applied to.
- You have a stable internet connection.
- Your activation code is ready, ideally copied to your clipboard to avoid typos.
How to redeem an activation code?
- Open the Plaud App and go to Explore.
- Tap More details.
- Tap Redeem code.
- Enter your activation code exactly as shown, with no extra spaces.
- Tap Redeem to submit.
After redemption, you'll see a success message. Your transcription minutes balance updates on the Membership page, which may take a few minutes to reflect.
FAQ about activation codes
What does "Invalid code" mean?
The code wasn't recognized. Double-check for character mix-ups (O vs. 0, I vs. 1) and remove any spaces before or after the code. If it still fails, submit a request and include your account email and the code.
Why does it say "Code already used"?
The code has been redeemed on another account. Each activation code can only be used once. If you believe this is an error, submit a request with your account email, order number, and the activation code.
My code expired — can I still use it?
No. Some codes carry an expiration date. If you believe the expiry was applied in error, submit a request and include your purchase confirmation and the code.
I redeemed the code but the balance hasn't updated. What should I do?
Wait a few minutes and refresh the Membership page. If the balance still hasn't updated after 10 minutes, submit a request and include your account email, the activation code, and a screenshot of your Membership page.
