What is audio import?

FAQ about audio import
Why can't I find my newly imported recording in the file list?
Plaud Web sorts files by their original creation date, not the upload date. This means older audio will appear further down your list. To view your newest uploads at the top, change your sort order to Date modified.
Do I need Plaud Desktop installed to record on Plaud Web?
Yes. Clicking Start Recording on Plaud Web automatically launches your Plaud Desktop. If you have not installed it yet, you will receive a prompt to download it first.
What file formats and length limits apply to imports?
Plaud supports MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, RMVB, RM, DIVX, TS, M2TS, 3GP, F4V, ASR, and other common audio and video formats. The maximum length is 5 hours per file. If a file is longer than 5 hours, Plaud automatically splits it into two files. These limits are the same on the Plaud App and Plaud Web.
What timestamp does an imported file use?
Plaud Web uses the original recording's creation time, not the import time, as the file's timestamp in your library.
What happens if I import the same file twice?
Plaud Web shows a "file already exists" message and skips the duplicate.
