If you see messages about your country/region when trying to search for the Plaud App in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, then this article applies to you.
Example error messages
Apple App Store
- “This app is currently not available in your country or region.”
- “The item you’ve requested is not currently available in the store.”
- “App Not Available. This app is currently not available in your country or region.”
Google Play Store
- “This item isn’t available in your country.”
- “This app is not available for your country or region.”
- “The app is not available for your device in this country.”
We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Below are the main reasons and what they mean for your account.
Why this happens
Plaud is a company registered and operating in the United States, and must comply with:
- U.S. laws and export control regulations (including but not limited to OFAC, BIS, and other agencies)
- Requirements from upstream model service providers
- Compliance policies from app stores and other partners
For some specific countries/regions, Plaud is not allowed to provide services, including listing the app in local app stores.
Whether Plaud appears in your local App Store / Google Play depends on a compliance assessment for that region.
If compliance cannot be confirmed, the app may be delisted or temporarily unavailable in that area.
What does it usually means
If your App Store / Google Play shows:
“This app is not available in your country or region”
it generally means:
- Plaud is not currently available for download in the app store region of your account
- This is a regional compliance or policy restriction, and applies to all users with the same store region, not just you personally
Impact on new users
In affected countries/regions, new users may:
- Not find “Plaud” when searching in the Apple App Store / Google Play
- Be unable to download or install the app via local stores
- Be unable to start using Plaud through regular mobile app channels
Even if you know the app name or saved the app link before, the store may still show that it is not available in your region.
What this is not about
Not related to other websites or apps
Your ability to:
- Visit other websites (e.g., email services), or
- Download other apps
does not mean Plaud will also be available.
Different services follow different compliance rules and risk assessments, so Plaud’s availability may differ from other apps.
Not related to download channels
No matter:
- Which region’s store you previously downloaded from, or
- Whether you used a store link from the official website
current compliance requirements remain the same.
Changing download channels or store entry points will not bypass export control and compliance regulations.
Not related to your device
In most cases, this issue is not caused by your phone or tablet.
Even if you:
- Use another device
- Keep the same regional settings
- Use an app store account from the same region
you will typically see the same “not available in this region” notice.
When will downloads be restored?
These restrictions are:
- Based on laws, policies, and compliance requirements,
- Not short-term technical bugs.
If laws, policies, or upstream provider requirements change in the future, Plaud will re-evaluate and may adjust app store availability in some regions.
However, we:
- Cannot promise a specific restoration timeline
- Cannot provide an exact date for when downloads will resume for any particular country/region or account
