Note: These issues are related to service availability changes by region and are not temporary technical failures.
I could use it before—why can’t I suddenly log in / why is access restricted now?
- This is not a temporary outage. It’s a service region adjustment. Due to differences in laws and regulations, the version you used will stop providing service in your current region.
- Each region operates with independent systems and data environments, so the original version can’t provide full online services everywhere.
- Local recording / local storage are not affected and will continue to work normally.
- To keep using cloud sync, online transcription, and web viewing, switch to the version for your current region:
- App: https://app.plaud.cn
- Web: https://web.plaud.cn
- Data migration tool: https://migrate.plaud.cn
What does the prompt “Current region does not support access / This version will stop providing services in your region” mean?
- It means that, based on compliance and service policies, the version you’re currently using will no longer be supported in your country/region.
- Your historical cloud data remains safely stored in the original system, but in your current region you may not be able to log in through the old App/Web to view it.
- Recommended path:
- Use the new entry point: https://app.plaud.cn / https://web.plaud.cn
- Use the migration tool to transfer eligible cloud data: https://migrate.plaud.cn
Why are features different when I use the same account in different countries/regions?
- Different regions have separate account systems and data environments, with differences in privacy requirements, data processing rules, server deployment, and available features.
- As a result, even with the “same account,” available features, model services, and membership benefits may vary by region.
- If you’ll use the service long-term in a new region:
- Create an account in the regional version: https://app.plaud.cn / https://web.plaud.cn
- Transfer eligible historical cloud data via: https://migrate.plaud.cn
I’m an existing user—how does this change affect me?
- Your historical cloud data won’t be deleted automatically due to this adjustment and remains stored in the original system.
- However, in your current region, accessing that cloud data via the old App/Web may be restricted or no longer possible.
- If you want to continue using cloud features (sync/transcription/web viewing):
- Ensure recordings are fully synced/backed up in the old version
- Migrate via: https://migrate.plaud.cn
- Log in on the new version: https://app.plaud.cn / https://web.plaud.cn
Are these changes temporary? Will service be restored later?
- These adjustments are driven by long-term compliance requirements and service planning, not short-term maintenance. The version you used will stop providing service in your region.
- If future changes are needed due to legal policies or business strategy, updates will be shared through official channels (website and in-app announcements).
