Do I have to migrate my data? What happens if I don’t?
- If you want to continue using cloud services (online transcription, sync, web viewing) in your current region, we recommend completing data migration as guided.
- If you do not migrate, you may no longer be able to access your cloud historical data via the original version in your current region due to regional service adjustments. You will only be able to use local features such as on-device recording.

What content is transferred during data migration?
Content that will be migrated:
- Content data: Including but not limited to friend lists, private messages, comment interactions, forum posts, and other social interaction data from the international region.
- Personalized settings and preferences: Such as custom templates and workflow configurations.
Content that will not be migrated:
- Account information: Username, linked email, phone number, account creation time, password (encrypted transmission), etc.
- Historical orders and transaction records: All records related to your purchase behavior.
- Specific interaction data: For example, previous sharing records, likes/dislikes, and other interaction data.
- Virtual assets and privileges: Points, membership levels, virtual items, etc.
- Data strongly bound to the original account: Cache files, temporary session states, etc.
I have content stored locally that hasn’t been synced to the cloud. Will that be migrated?
- No. The data migration tool only processes data that has been successfully synced to the cloud.
- Unsynced data cannot be recognized by the tool and may fail to migrate. Please complete all uploads and cloud backups before starting migration.
Can I still use recording/syncing/viewing functions normally during migration?
- To ensure data consistency, we do not recommend frequent device use or large-scale changes to cloud data while migration is in progress.
- Because migration takes time, device functions may not work normally during the process. It’s best to start migration when your device is idle.
After migration is complete, what happens to my previous version and account? Can I undo the migration?
- Migration is a one-time, one-way operation and cannot be reverted to the original regional system once completed.
- After migration, the corresponding data in the original App/Web will generally no longer be accessible for daily use. Please refer to actual system prompts for details.
Is data migration one-way? Can I migrate again between different regional versions or switch back?
- Yes. It is designed as a one-time, one-way migration, and does not support repeated migration between regions or switching back to the original system.
- Whether other migration options will be supported in the future depends on the compliance environment and product strategy. Any changes will be announced through official channels.
